Jamie Nell Colby is an American former anchor and national news reporter for Fox News Channel (FNC). Colby hosts the series, Strange Inheritance, on Fox Business Network and was the co-host of America's News Headquarters with Eric Shawn on Sunday mornings. Since July 2003, Colby has been a National News Anchor and Correspondent for Fox News. Prior to being hired by FOX News Channel, Colby was a correspondent for CNN and was also an anchor and reporter at CBS News including fill-in anchor for CBS's Up to the Minute. She was also an anchor for WPIX/WB-11 New York, a reporter at WNYW FOX 5 New York, and a correspondent/co-anchor on FOX News' WebMD TV. Colby is a lawyer licensed to practice law in New York, California, Florida and the District of Columbia. She was given the Edward R. Murphy National Award in 2002 in recognition of her coverage of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The Gracie Award for investigative reporting in 2000. Then the Clarion Award from Association for Women in Communications. Colby was also named TV Week's "Rising News Star to Watch". In addition to her journalistic career, Colby, an attorney has been as a private attorney for ten years. Colby started her law practice by working with an Hollywood entertainment agency , which assigned them to The Tonight Show. She was 22 when she began working as a reporter for Johnny Carson during his contract renewal with NBC as well as during his divorce. Colby is the host and reporter for Strange Inheritance, a show on Fox Business since January 2015. This show covers extraordinary or unimaginable legacy which family members or friends have left behind.
