Milena Govich

Milena Govich, a writer and actor, has directed numerous episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI: Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) among others. Additionally, she was the Co-EP/Producing director of Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently attached to two pilots that are currently in the process of development. Milena was one of eight women selected by AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV series as well as a short film. The show starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort, it won the award for Best Episodic at Seattle International Film Festival as in addition to Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The film she made, Temporary (2017) was shown across the country. She was awarded the award for Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. and the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has been an actor on more than 100 TV shows. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). She also appeared on the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) which culminated in her role as the first and the only female detective on the Emmy-winning TV series Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have been a part of her, or have recurred. Milena has also been featured in many films, such as Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011), starring opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) as well as #Lucky Number (2015) with the lead with Method Man; and the film series Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian at her high school before she completed two major vocal performances and premed at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. Soon after she made the most of her ballet education to perform on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
